JAGS mean machine

Starting off the season with minor hiccups, JAGS “mean machine” Table Tennis club started rolling up slowly but surely.

Just to prove that it hadn’t been a fluke, JAGS repeated the feat this time with an 8-6 victory.

At first Peniel surged into a 5-1 lead dreaming of a crushing victory, but JAGS finished by far the stronger taking five of the last six games.

JAGS knows that winning the two doubles matches is crucial as this often secure the outcome of their results.

The partnerships of Wuraola / Trumposkas and Carthy / Cutler paid up with two vital wins, which JAGS needed so badly.

John Holland’s   11-3, 11-8, 11-6 victory over Lorestas Trumpauskas, to whom he had lost in the first half of the season was particularly

impressive.

With the score poised at 6-6, JAGS had the advantage as Abdul Wuraola beat Chris Jamieson 3-1 and Clive Carthy saw off old rival Neil

Charles by the same scoreline.
