

The abbreviation stands for James Allen’s
Girl’s School. Founded in 1741 by the then Master of
1991 saw the 250th anniversary and opening of the new library
by the Princess Royal designed especially to celebrate the quarter millennium.
The present headmistress is Mrs. M.O. Gibbs.
The Parents Guild initially ran the
sports club but it is now a self-financing club, open to the local community.
With squash courts, swimming pool, fitness room, dance studio and multi-purpose
hall, the range of activities offered is comprehensive.
The foundation of
present Table Tennis sessions for juniors have been laid down in the year 2000
by our Senior Level 4 head coach Javad Ameri. During the passed five years,
JAGS juniors have managed to obtain £10.000 awards for its coaching and
entering three teams in different junior divisions, through the Lottery Awards
for All grants.
The Table
Tennis sessions are being managed by JAGS Sport Club as part of their
commitment to sport in its locality. Attracting members ever more, JAGS Sport
Club is one of the leading venues for the game in
Due to lack of training hours allocated to
Table Tennis at the centre, the majority of the players have been moved to
address below and also there is a very limited hours left at the centre for
table tennis.
