The abbreviation stands for James Allen’s Girl’s School. Founded in 1741 by the then Master of Dulwich College, it is an independent fee paying school for 750 girl’s aged 11-18+. The academic excellence of the school is renowned. The venue today is the school sport hall and is part of the whole site, which exceeds 22 acres.

1991 saw the 250th anniversary and opening of the new library by the Princess Royal designed especially to celebrate the quarter millennium. The present headmistress is Mrs. M.O. Gibbs.

The Parents Guild initially ran the sports club but it is now a self-financing club, open to the local community. With squash courts, swimming pool, fitness room, dance studio and multi-purpose hall, the range of activities offered is comprehensive.

 TABLE TENNIS AT JAGS

The foundation of present Table Tennis sessions for juniors have been laid down in the year 2000 by our Senior Level 4 head coach Javad Ameri. During the passed five years, JAGS juniors have managed to obtain £10.000 awards for its coaching and entering three teams in different junior divisions, through the Lottery Awards for All grants.

The Table Tennis sessions are being managed by JAGS Sport Club as part of their commitment to sport in its locality. Attracting members ever more, JAGS Sport Club is one of the leading venues for the game in London region.

Due to lack of training hours allocated to Table Tennis at the centre, the majority of the players have been moved to address below and also there is a very limited hours left at the centre for table tennis.
